Girls Empowerment Project
Our girls empowerment programs includes:
- Increased opportunities for women’s education, employment, and entrepreneurship.
- Improved women’s rights and security, including reduced gender-based violence.
- Greater equity, inclusion, and opportunities for vulnerable groups.
To foster entrepreneurship girls are trained to enable them become self reliant and financial stable in girls therefore preventing sexual exploitation. Major training programs include:
- Culinary Art
- Sewing and designing
- Graphic design
- reusable pads
- Digital marketing
- Arts and craft
Training Girls in Sewing and Designing in Partnership with Rising Hope Foundation for Change
Our vocational training program empower girls in sewing and designing, business management and soft skills. The program train girls in drawing, sewing of clothes, sewing of sanitary Ecopads and underwear (pants and breast wears).
The program begins with introduction to sewing terminology, machines types, fabric types and other accessories. Stitching with hand is the first stage of the training while drawing and designing follows.
PowerPoint presentations, audio visual tapes, sewing design apps are used to deliver lessons.
Our comprehensive business management skills program educate girls on digital marketing, branding, customer service, accounting, business plan writing, creativity, innovation as well soft skills in business management like problem solving, negotiation, communication, leadership, emotional intelligence and decision making skills.
Arts and craft workshop
Using local materials, youths are trained in arts and crafts. Girls learn how to weave baskets, beads(Jewellery) , baby pullovers and rappers with wool thread.
