Theories in early childhood education

Early childhood education theories emphasize that children learn best through active exploration, social interaction, and tailored developmental stages. Key frameworks include:

  • Piaget’s cognitive development
  • Vygotsky’s social constructivism
  • Erikson’s psycho-social stages
  • Froebel play-based theories that highlights play as essential for cognitive,  social and emotional growth.
  • Albert Bandura social learning, which guide educators to create play-based, supportive environments that match a child’s developmental pace and encourage curiosity.
Goal Two.

Scholarship/ Sponsorship

PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITY

To distinguish gifted children and those with learning disabilities, we carry out psychological assessment using major psychometric tools like the Stanford binet test 5th edition and the Wechsler intelligent scale for children( WISC5)  to determine their capabilities and to design an individualized education plan

Types of learning disabilities identified

Our cognitive development programs provide an intensive approach in helping children minimize their knowledge gaps and build stronger fundamental skills through fun activities and practice. We identify the following disorders:

A reading disability

Problems with arithmetic and math

A writing disorder leading to illegibility
